Job Description:
Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for an Embedded Software Engineer to add to their growing team located on the west side of Indianapolis. Our client is seeking an individual to assist in coding with Embedded C ++ to design , develop, code, test, and debug systems software. Additionally, they will design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 1-2 years’ experience working with Embedded C ++ or Embedded C.
Responsibilities:
Coding with Embedded C ++ and C
Work closely with engineers
Find and fix existing problems within the code base
Find and fix problems within new code.
Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
Processing assigned change requests on things like 1) Custom-developed tools, general development tasks and changes, and integration with other apps; 2) Polarion workflows and UI changes, GitHub UI, repository creation/changes, and CI pipeline support; and 3) Assisting with tool/SW licensing tasks, process documentation, and software build and release management (including military/defense application).
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
1-2 years’ experience coding with Embedded C ++ or Embedded C
Experience with Python and / or Javascript for tool / scripting development
Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
Quick study when learning new methods
Well organized and able to work independently
