Unemployed Denim is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator to join our small, growing business specializing in customized loungewear and denim.
You’ll operate our multi-needle embroidery machine to personalize high-quality garments, helping bring custom designs to life. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in consistent, careful craftsmanship. Embroidery experience is preferred, but we’re open to training the right person with sewing or apparel production experience.

You’ll operate our multi-needle embroidery machine to personalize high-quality garments, helping bring custom designs to life. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in consistent, careful craftsmanship. Embroidery experience is preferred, but we’re open to training the right person with sewing or apparel production experience.
Duties
Operate our multi-needle embroidery machine to embroider sweatshirts, sweatpants, denim, and other garments
Prepare and hoop garments using appropriate stabilizers and placement guides
Load approved embroidery designs and select the correct thread colors
Monitor stitching, change threads and needles, and address basic production issues
Maintain consistent design placement, stitching, and overall quality
Complete finishing work, including removing stabilizer, trimming threads, tagging, and inspecting garments
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance as instructed
Assist with additional apparel production tasks as needed
Communicate clearly and consistently about scheduling, project progress, and production questions
Accurately track hours worked and update production schedules in shared Google Drive documents
Requirements
Previous embroidery machine experience preferred; sewing or apparel production experience is helpful
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
Comfortable handling garments carefully and following custom design instructions
Willingness to learn new equipment and production techniques
Reliable communication and follow-through
No personal sewing or embroidery machine required
Position Details:
Contracted 1099 position
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Flexible hours based on production needs
On-site in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA 92007
Training provided on our embroidery machine and production process
