About This Role
The Emergency Department Charge RN oversees nursing care for patients within the unit, facilitating communication and problem-solving among staff while also fulfilling nursing responsibilities. This role is ideal for experienced RNs looking to take on leadership and educational responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Schedule: Part-time, Day shift
What You'll Do
Supervise nursing personnel and assist in the interviewing process for new applicants.
Monitor staff performance and provide documentation of performance issues.
Contribute to staffing patterns and monitor day-to-day staffing utilization.
Identify and communicate systems problems that interfere with client care.
Participate in the development and implementation of client care standards and policies.
Assess patient needs and priorities, implementing and evaluating nursing care.
Provide direction during emergency situations as delegated.
Assist in the development and presentation of in-service programs.
Participate in meetings, special projects, and committees as designated.
Maintain confidentiality of all client and organizational records.
Requirements
Education
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
High school diploma or GED
Experience
3 years of Registered Nurse experience, with 1 year in clinical specialty
Licenses & Certifications
Current Registered Nurse License in Oregon
Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire
NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 1 month of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Basic Life Support
