nAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting full-time and Locum Tenens, 1099 Emergency Physicians for service at the Jennifer Moreno VA Medical Center located at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92161. nResponsibilities

nnnProvide direct patient care 100% of the time in the ED

n

nnEvaluate, treat, and manage a wide range of emergent conditions including:

n

nnTrauma, cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, OB/GYN, GI, endocrine, infectious, and musculoskeletal emergencies

n

nnPerform minor and major procedures (e.g., suturing, intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion)

n

nnStabilize and transfer patients requiring higher levels of care

n

nnReview inpatient admissions and consults

n

nnApply orthopedic devices and manage medications per VA policy

n

nnProvide discharge education and coordinate follow-up care

n

nnInitiate social work referrals for homeless or high-risk patients

n

nnAttend staff meetings (monthly, if shift coincides)

n

nnParticipate in quality improvement activities

n

nnComplete documentation in VA’s EHR system (CPRS)

n

nnEnsure timely completion of progress notes and coding

n

nnReport patient safety incidents within 24 hours

n

nnMaintain compliance with HIPAA and VA privacy standards

n

n nQualifications

nnnBoard Certification in Emergency Medicine (preferred) or Board Certification or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.

n

nnActive, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or Territory

n

nnCurrent DEA license

n

nnCurrent American Heart Association BLS and ACLS

n

nnMust be able to pass a Federal background investigation (National Agency Check with Written Inquiries)

n

nnNo sponsorship available 

n

n nAll candidates must be able to:

nnnSit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift

n

nnLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist

n

nnLift up to 20 lbs

n

nnCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance

n

nnPush/pull with 30 lbs of force

n
