Job description
Emergency Department TechnicianFacilitates the provision of timely and effective patient care under the supervision of licensed members of the healthcare team. Helps maintain a safe and clean environment in order to enhance department operations. Patient care is delivered consistent with the model and philosophy of relationship-based care.Required SkillsWritten and verbal English communication skillBasic organizational skillsKnowledge of medical terminologyKnowledge of infection controlAble to work using aseptic techniquesRequired ExperienceRequired:Minimal EKG knowledgeable to set-up and run 12-lead EKG (hospital to train)Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support CertificationPhlebotomy training/State certification to be obtained within 12 months of hireNon-violent crisis intervention training annuallyPreferred:California state licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Certified Nurse Attendant (CNA)Acute general hospital experience either as an ED Tech, CNA or nursing student.Basic windows and mouse skills.SalaryMinimum Salary: $23.00Maximum Salary: $33.00
