Job description
Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
Participates in activities to enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development.
Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with collaborative input, ensuring effective communication across care teams.
Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
Additional qualifications include strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills. The role involves delivering compassionate, comprehensive emergency care for diverse medical conditions such as chest pain, respiratory distress, trauma, strokes, and infections.
