Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant locum opportunity in Kingsport, Tennessee , and I wanted to see if you might be interested!
Opportunity Details:
Location: Kingsport, Tennessee
Start Date: October 17, 2026
Duration: Ongoing coverage
Schedule: 12-hour APP shifts, with flexible scheduling based on department needs
Call: No call required
Setting: High-acuity community hospital emergency department
Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 25,000 ED visits
EMR: Epic
Practice Model: Collaborative, physician-led team with 24-hour emergency physician coverage
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive emergency medicine care to patients in a high-acuity emergency department.
Work collaboratively with emergency medicine physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
Utilize strong clinical assessment and procedural skills while managing patients independently within the appropriate scope of practice.
Qualifications:
Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (AANP/ANCC) or Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
Active, unrestricted Tennessee license appropriate to your provider type.
Active DEA registration with a Tennessee address and required prescriptive authority.
Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
Two years of recent emergency medicine or related specialty experience preferred; new graduates may be considered based on department needs.
Epic experience preferred.
Ability to meet facility credentialing and privileging requirements.
