Emergency Medicine Job Details Specialty: Emergency Medicine Physician Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department; Level III trauma center Location: Andalusia, Alabama Schedule: October 2, 2026, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Shift Duration: 12 hours Employment Type: Per diem, locum tenens Department Size: 10 beds Expected Volume: Approximately 25 patient encounters per shift Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,480-$7,670 Credentialing: Estimated timeframe of 2 days Emergency Medicine Physician Job Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree At least 1 year of experience practicing emergency medicine Active Alabama medical license or eligibility to practice in Alabama Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications Ability to provide safe, independent emergency care in a Level III trauma environment Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of emergent and urgent conditions Manage approximately 25 patient encounters during a 12-hour overnight shift Provide stabilization and ongoing care for trauma and medically complex patients Perform appropriate emergency procedures and coordinate consultations or transfers when indicated Collaborate with available anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, radiology, laboratory, and other clinical support services Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team Apply now for this per diem locum tenens Emergency Medicine Physician opportunity in Andalusia, Alabama.
