We are hiring for a full-time nocturnist position. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
Local Team Collaboration:
We take pride in our well-established team at Texas Health Allen. Day Intensivist coverage with night 12-hour Advanced Practice Provider coverage.
Provide care to patients in the 8-bed, closed ICU.
Qualifications:
Board certified physician assistant with unrestricted license.
Prior ICU APP practice time- minimum of 2-years post training ICU practice including performing ICU procedures.
Licensed to practice in Texas.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
15, 12-hour night shifts per month, block shift scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, comprehensive care to medical / surgical / cardiac / ICU patients.
Demonstrate autonomous care within an ICU setting with support from a full complement of medical subspecialists; demonstrate ability to work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team.
Commit to excellence in the clinical service and demonstrate problem-solving abilities necessary to best serve our patients.
Must provide evidence of procedural competence with the following procedures: central lines, arterial lines, intubations and chest tubes.
EMR is Epic.

Competitive, salary based compensation based on 15, 12-hour shifts per month.
