Job description

TeamHealth is seeking a full-time physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our emergency department observation unit at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Washington. APCs function as an integral part of the emergency medicine team while caring for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Observation patients include a broad range of medical, surgical, cardiac, neurologic, and trauma-related conditions. Common cases include chest pain evaluations, transient neurologic symptoms, syncope, appendicitis, mild heart failure exacerbations, asthma exacerbations, low-risk trauma, and other conditions requiring short-term observation and treatment.

The position includes direct supervision and support from experienced emergency physicians, with 24/7 on-site emergency physician coverage.
