CANDIDATE PROFILE Experienced Emergency Medicine NP/PA preferred
2 years of recent EM or related specialty experience preferred
New graduates may be considered based on site needs
Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills required
Must be comfortable working independently while collaborating with Emergency Medicine physicians
Epic experience preferred
NP REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an accredited NP program
Active, unrestricted Tennessee RN license
Active Tennessee NP license
Active Tennessee DEA with TN address
Prescriptive authority required
AANP or ANCC certification
ACLS and PALS required
PA REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an accredited PA program
Active, unrestricted Tennessee PA license
Active DEA with Tennessee address
DEA Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV & V required
Active NCCPA certification
ACLS and PALS required
Mentorship/proctorship may be required for new graduates
CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS MMR and Varicella documentation or positive immunity titers
Two-step TB test within the past 12 months
QuantiFERON Gold accepted per facility requirements
If TB positive: chest X-ray within the past 3 months
Case logs from the previous 2 years
Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME required upon initial appointment and every 2 years for reappointment
Must meet all facility credentialing and privileging requirements
MALPRACTICE $1M/$3M professional liability coverage
Separate limits per provider and per claim
INTERNAL SUMMARY High-priority ongoing APP Emergency Medicine need in Kingsport, TN. Indian Path Community Hospital has approximately 25K annual ED visits with 24-hour physician coverage and 12-hour daily APP coverage . TN license and DEA required.
