\ NLocal Team Collaboration:
\ N Join our close-knit team of nine EM board-certified physicians and three Advanced Practice providers at Samaritan Healthcare.
\ N We are a level III trauma center with an annual ED volume of 25,000. We have a great relationship with the hospitalist service and support from general surgery, OB/GYN, radiology, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, GI, and tele neurology.
\ N Work alongside our teamof clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
\ N Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
\ N Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.
\ N Qualifications:
\ N Board-certified/Board-eligible Physician Assistant with recent acute care experience
\ N Due to the high acuity of patients and autonomy of the role ED experience is required
\ N Scheduling:
\ N We understand theimportance of work-life balance. Our flexible scheduling allows you to spend quality time with your loved ones or enjoy the outdoors. We cover for each other when needed and strive to accommodate requested days off. Holidays are scheduled equitably.
\ N Advanced Practice Provider shifts are 2p-2a and will work with three physicians on their shifts of 7a-7p, 10a-10p, and 7p-7a.
\ N Key Responsibilities:
\ N APPs see patientsindependently and have good support from physicians (a physician will always be on staff during their shift). APPs see all patients in the ED, however physicians manage the sickest patients.
\ N Great collaboration among physicians with APPs. Physicians lean on APP staff to run the department while physicians see the most critical patients.
\ N APPs work closely with physicians and physicians are very supportive of APPs. Physicians love to teach and collaborate with APPs.

\ N Compensation: Yearly compensation is $151,200.
