The Opportunity
Seeking Emergency Department physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
1-2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required.
Current national certification, ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA are required.
Current AZ state license is a plus.
The Practice
Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital - Tucson, Arizona
Regional EMS base hospital and largest regional referral hospital of the system located on the east side of Tucson.
Adult Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with 24/7 emergency services.
2024 ED volume averages 70-80 patients per day (aging geriatric population) with a 33% admit rate, 11% critical care.
Women's and OB Center with low acuity NICU.
Cerner EMR with Dragon dictation and Vituity scribe support.
Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital - Tucson, Arizona
The first and oldest hospital in continuous operation in all of Arizona (since 1880). Located on the west side of Tucson near downtown.
2024 ED volume averages 80-90 patients per day (underserved population) with a 20% admit rate, 7% critical care.
STEMI Receiving Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Comprehensive Structural Heart Center.
24/7 in-house hospitalists and intensivists.
Cerner EMR with Dragon dictation and Vituity scribe support.
Regional EMS base hospital, Inpatient Geriatric Psych Unit, and Bariatric Center.
Contracted hospital with Arizona Department of Corrections for inmates.
