nRequirements
nSchedule Overview
nAs a Physician Author, you'll work part-time in a hospital-based (e.g., hospitalist) or outpatient practice while dedicating the remainder of your time at our corporate office in Irving, TX. This flexible arrangement typically involves a schedule combining 25–40% clinical work and 60–75% nonclinical contributions.
nRequirements
nnnBoard certified or eligible MD in Emergency Medicine
n
nnStrong communication skills and a deep passion for educating future physicians
n
nnProven high scores on USMLE® Step 1, 2, and 3 examinations
n
nnExperience in writing board-style questions, tutoring medical students, or working in an academic setting is a plus
n
n nJob Responsibilities
nnnDevelop original content for the USMLE®, ABIM®, ABFM, and other UWorld Question Banks, including engaging clinical vignettes and comprehensive explanations aligned with examination blueprints and high-yield clinical scenarios.
n
nnReview and revise contributions from fellow authors, offering constructive feedback while focusing on accuracy, clarity, and educational value.
n
nnCollaborate with our medical illustration team to create captivating, high-yield imagery that highlights essential surgical concepts and procedures.
n
nnEngage with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, editors, illustrators, IT experts, and customer support professionals to produce top-notch content while enhancing processes and responding to user feedback.
n
nnShowcase your ability to manage your time effectively and contribute positively in a team-oriented environment.
n
nnTake on additional tasks as needed to support our mission.
