Coverage model: 24 hr Physician 36 hr APP

Transfers: 3% (Major Trauma/Burns Salem Peds Roanoke Memorial)
Complementing the main hospital, the LewisGale Christiansburg ER offers convenient, around-the-clock emergency services as a freestanding department of the Montgomery campus. The 10,000-square-foot facility includes 11 private treatment rooms, a dedicated trauma bay, on-site imaging (CT, X-ray, ultrasound), and a full-service laboratory. It delivers hospital-level emergency care without the need to travel to Blacksburg. The ER was designed to improve access for residents of Christiansburg and surrounding communities. It provides rapid treatment for everything from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies, with seamless coordination and patient transfers to LewisGale Hospital Montgomery when specialized or inpatient care is required.
Qualifications
Licensure: Virginia Medical License and DEA
Board Certification: BE/BC in Emergency Medicine
Experience: PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Residents accepted
