Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Job in Clinton, North Carolina Emergency Medicine Physician locum tenens opportunity in Clinton, NC, offering solo Emergency Department coverage, 12-hour shifts, and strong specialty backup in southeastern North Carolina.
Job Details Specialty: Emergency Medicine Employment Type: Locum Tenens Physician Job Setting: Emergency Department Location: Clinton, NC 28328 Start Date: November 1, 2026 End Date: November 30, 2026 Duration: 4 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,160 - $7,290 Shift Length: 12-hour shifts Shift Times: Primarily 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with one listed 7:00 AM shift Coverage Model: 1 physician with 2 mid-level providers splitting coverage Annual ED Volume: Approximately 32,000 patients Average Daily Volume: 90-100 patients Typical Patient Load: 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift EMR: Meditech 6.1 Facility Features: Open ICU, 22-bed Emergency Department Job Requirements Board Certified Physician required MD degree required Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required Active North Carolina Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment required Ability to provide solo Emergency Department coverage during scheduled shifts Comfort managing a broad range of emergency medicine presentations in a high-volume setting Responsibilities Provide standard solo Emergency Department coverage during 12-hour shifts Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a diverse mix of Emergency Medicine patients Work collaboratively with mid-level providers to support patient flow and continuity of care Manage an average patient load of 18-20 patients per shift Use Meditech 6.1 for documentation and clinical workflow Coordinate care with specialty and support services, including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedics, and radiology Deliver efficient, high-quality care in a busy Emergency Department environment Location Highlights Work in Clinton, North Carolina, a welcoming small-town community in southeastern North Carolina Enjoy a relaxed pace with convenient access to regional amenities and surrounding healthcare resources Hospital-owned accommodations are provided during the assignment Apply now for this Emergency Medicine locum tenens opportunity in Clinton, North Carolina, and join a supportive healthcare team today.
