Job Details Specialty: Emergency Medicine Position Type: Locum Tenens Physician Location: Dickson, Tennessee Community Setting: Dickson, Tennessee (ZIP 37055) Start Date: September 6, 2026 End Date: November 29, 2026 Duration: 12 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,880 - $6,960 Schedule: Rotational emergency medicine coverage Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Call: No call Orientation: 2-day shadowing and orientation Setting: Accredited chest pain and stroke center Facility Highlights: 158 beds, approximately 119 daily billable encounters, and about 22.4 daily admissions Job Requirements Valid physician credentials with the ability to obtain hospital privileges Board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician preferred Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with 3 years of emergency department experience will be considered Clean file preferred for emergency privileges consideration Experience with standard emergency medicine procedures and acute care Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills 1+ year of clinical experience preferred if not otherwise met through specialty-specific background Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency care for a broad range of standard ED cases Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions Perform standard emergency medicine procedures as needed Work collaboratively with nurses, techs, APPs, and other on-shift physicians Support patient flow in a busy emergency department with consistent daily volume Participate in rotational coverage and maintain smooth transitions during shift handoffs Deliver safe, efficient care in a welcoming Dickson, Tennessee community setting Apply now to explore this Emergency Medicine locum tenens opportunity in Dickson, Tennessee, and join a trusted healthcare team serving the local community.
