Job Details Specialty: Emergency Medicine Position Type: Locum tenens physician Setting: Emergency Department Location: Hanover, Pennsylvania Start Date: October 1, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 8-hour day shifts with multiple coverage blocks available Shifts per Week: Approximately 2-4 shifts per week for quarterly coverage; additional full-time blocks may be needed for extended coverage periods Shift Duration: 8-hour days Weekly Estimated Pay: $9,680-$10,370 Job Requirements Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine, or 5 years of full-time Emergency Medicine experience Experience treating at least 15,000 Emergency Department patients annually Documented experience evaluating and treating at least 1,000 Emergency Department cases within the last 2 years Ability to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week Strong procedural skills and acute care experience in a fast-paced emergency medicine setting Eligible to begin on the listed start date and commit to the 13-week locum tenens assignment Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency care to a broad patient population in a busy emergency department Perform procedures including moderate sedation, central lines, bedside ultrasound, nasotracheal intubation, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, minor laceration repairs, and splinting Evaluate, diagnose, and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions Collaborate with nursing staff and specialty support to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinical workflow Work effectively within overlapping shift coverage to support safe handoffs and continuity of care Deliver compassionate, timely treatment in a team-oriented environment Why Consider This Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Job?
