CALL COVERAGE PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 136 patients per day
FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 586 (total hospital beds) Trauma Level: Level II EMR System: Cerner Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, OBGYN, Gastroenterology Support Staff Available: Physicians, NP/PAs
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) Licenses: Active Texas license, active DEA with TX address, CSR if needed DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS required Certifications: ATLS and PALS required Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages Manage acute medical and trauma emergencies, including resuscitation Supervise and collaborate with NP/PAs and other support staff Participate in trauma team activations and Level II trauma coverage Maintain accurate medical documentation in Cerner EMR
