Clinical Role
Join a high-volume Emergency Medicine team in Independence, Missouri, providing coverage across a Level II Trauma Center and affiliated Freestanding Emergency Departments. This locums opportunity offers flexible scheduling, a diverse trauma and medical patient population, and the opportunity to work within a comprehensive emergency care system.

Level II Trauma Center Patient Volume:
Average ED census: approximately 170 patientsAnnual ED admission rate: approximately 24% Patient Population:
All Emergency Medicine patient populations Clinical Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage Emergency Department patientsPerform all standard Emergency Medicine proceduresManage trauma and acute medical conditionsStabilize critically ill patientsCoordinate transfers when specialty services are requiredCollaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and specialty teamsDocument patient care according to department standards Common Case Types
Trauma (primarily blunt trauma)Broad mix of Emergency Medicine presentationsHigh-acuity medical patientsSurgical and specialty emergencies Specialty Support & Transfers
