Job Details Specialty: Emergency Medicine Position Type: Locum tenens physician job Location: Independence, Missouri (Kansas City metro area) Start Date: 10/17/2026 Duration: 12 weeks Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts Schedule: Day, evening, and night coverage with weekend flexibility Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,420 - $7,610 Job Requirements Board certified in ABEM or AOBEM Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience preferred Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certification Strong experience with standard emergency department procedures Ability to work flexible physician shifts, including days, nights, and weekends Comfort managing a broad mix of emergency, trauma, and acute care cases Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in the emergency department Provide timely care for a high-acuity, high-volume patient population Manage a broad range of emergency medicine and trauma-related complaints Perform standard emergency department procedures as needed Collaborate with onsite clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and quality care Work effectively across varying shift times in a fast-paced emergency medicine environment Join our healthcare team today and take the next step in your Emergency Medicine career in Independence, Missouri.
