Support Staff Available: NP/PA coverage, scribe support
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Moderate Sedation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Board: Board Certified - ABEM or AOBEM (or current ABMS-recognized specialty with at least five years continuous full time experience in high volume ED)
Licenses: Active unrestricted IN Medical License, IN State Controlled Substance, DEA with IN address & schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4
DEA / CDS: Active DEA and IN Controlled Substance required
Certifications: BLS
Experience: EM residency graduate within past 12 months or IM with five years continuous full time experience in high volume (>30,000 visits/year) ED
Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years, completed CME Attestation Form, required immunizations (Flu, TB, COVID)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a Level III trauma center with a 33-bed ED and 3 trauma bays.
Perform moderate sedation procedures as required.
Collaborate with NP/PA providers and scribe support to manage a high-volume patient census ( 50,000 annual visits).
Manage trauma, cardiac, and specialty cases including ENT, orthopedics, and GYN in dedicated specialty care rooms.
Maintain licensure, board certification, and compliance with all facility credentialing and immunization requirements.
