Locums - Laurinburg, North Carolina, Emergency Medicine Opening
Clinical RoleRecruitWell is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for locums coverage in Laurinburg, North Carolina. This opportunity includes both day and night shifts in a busy Emergency Department. Candidates must be comfortable working independently as well as alongside Advanced Practice Clinicians.
Coverage Dates
November 20-23, 2026: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
December 18-21, 2026: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
December 24-26, 2026: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
December 27-28, 2026: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
January 1-4, 2027: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Assignment Details
12-hour shifts
Mix of day and night coverage
Must be comfortable working solo when required
Must be comfortable working with APC support
Position Highlights
Emergency Medicine locums opportunity
Approximately 115 Emergency Department patients per day
4-5 APCs providing coverage
CDU tele-triage support available overnight
Mix of independent and team-based coverage
Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians may be considered
Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat Emergency Department patients
Manage acute and emergent medical conditions
Perform standard Emergency Medicine procedures
Work independently when scheduled for solo coverage
Collaborate with APCs and Emergency Department staff
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and consultations as clinically appropriate
Complete timely clinical documentation
Support & Staffing
Approximately 4-5 APCs providing coverage
CDU tele-triage support overnight
Approximately 115 patients seen by the practice per day
Requirements
ABEM Board Certification preferred
Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians accepted
Active North Carolina medical license required
Must be comfortable working independently
Must be comfortable working alongside APCs
Must be available for the requested day and/or night shifts
