Locum Emergency Medicine Physician - Texas Long-Term Opportunity 6-12 Months Day & Night Shifts Travel & Lodging Provided
We are seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a Level IV Trauma Center in Texas . This is a long-term opportunity with a September 2026 start and potential for 6-12 months of coverage .
Opportunity Highlights Start: September 2026
Assignment: 6-12 months
Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
Coverage: 24-hour physician coverage
Annual ED Volume: Approximately 31,000 visits
Trauma Level: IV
EMR: Medhost
Travel & Lodging: Provided
Privileging: Approximately 90 days, with expedited privileges available for clean files
Qualifications MD or DO
Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery
Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or a related specialty
Board Certified in EM, FM, IM, or General Surgery
Active, unrestricted Texas medical license required prior to presentation
Active Texas DEA with a Texas address and Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV & V
Certifications EM Board Certified: No additional certifications required.
Non-EM Board Certified: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required.
Credentialing Requirements Two years of case logs
Two years of CME/CEU documentation
$1M/$3M malpractice coverage
Immunizations TB within 12 months
COVID vaccination
Flu vaccination within 12 months
MMR
Varicella
Hepatitis B
