INPATIENT CRITICAL CARE PHYSICIAN Marlborough, Massachusetts 6â€"12 Month Assignment Potential to Extend Long-Term Locums Opportunity in a Manageable ICU Setting
We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Physician for a 100% inpatient assignment in Marlborough, Massachusetts . This is a great opportunity for a physician who enjoys practicing independently in a focused ICU environment with a manageable patient census.
ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS Location: Marlborough, MA
Setting: 100% Inpatient Critical Care
Coverage: 6â€"12 months with potential to extend
Schedule: 7aâ€"7p with on-call coverage 7pâ€"7a
24-hour coverage preferred, but not required
Patient Census: Typically 6â€"8 patients
ICU: 10 beds, with 8 beds currently open
Coverage Model: Solo physician coverage
EMR: Epic
Rates: Market rates
PROCEDURAL OPPORTUNITIES Physicians should be comfortable with common critical care procedures, including:
Central lines
Arterial lines
Thoracentesis
Chest tubes
Paracentesis
Intubation, if desired
Equipment available: AmbuScope for bedside procedures and GlideScope for intubation.
Additional support: ED and Anesthesia coverage is available for intubations.
CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS Active Massachusetts medical license â€" Required
Critical Care Fellowship â€" Required
Active DEA
CSR
Critical Care / ICU experience
