Schedule: Open FTE = Open shift coverage
Shift length: 9- & 12-hour shifts
On Call: None
Details: Inpatient Responsibilities: No
Outreach: No
Number of Physicians : 1-2 Physician coverage day hours. 1 Physician coverage night hours.
Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 1-2
Supervision of APP(s) expected: Yes
Clinic Provider Daily Volume: ED Volume average 77 patients per day
Job Responsibilities: ED Physician coverage
EMR: Cerner Powerchart until June then EPIC
Teaching Opportunity: teaching hospital
Trauma Level 3
250 beds
33,000 annual visits
Peak shifts/busiest is during 11a-11p
Transfer out less than 3% of patients
60-90 days for privileging
Submission Requirements Ability to get them privileged quickly no lengthy work histories (cred staff goes back 10 years) - Required at name clear
Board Certified ABEM/AOBEM - Required at name clear
Clean background - Required, note at time of name clear
Active IA License or IMLC - Required
Fellowship Trained - Emergency Medicine
ACLS & PALS are required through AHA; if ER boarded ACLS and PALS are waived; ATLS required for trauma privileges
Availability - Required at time of presentation
Must be available for night shifts
