About the Position

The Department of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, in partnership with UNC Health and UNC Health Chatham, seeks a Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Physician for the UNC Health Chatham Emergency Department. UNC Health Chatham is a 25-bed rural Critical Access Hospital located in Siler City, NC, approximately 30 miles from Chapel Hill. The newly renovated 15-bed ED sees approximately 18,000 visits annually and is staffed by Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine physicians and advanced practice providers.

We use Epic as our EHR with AI-powered documentation support. CT and ultrasound are available daily, with MRI available five days per week. Bedside ultrasound and GlideScope are also available. The Maternity Care Center is staffed 24/7 with cesarean section capability, and cardiology and general surgery consultants are readily available.
