Job description
Practice Emergency Medicine where acuity, teaching, and mission come together in a way that is difficult to replicate in a traditional academic setting. This faculty opportunity places you at a major Mid-South referral center caring for an underserved and medically complex patient population while remaining highly hands-on clinically. Rather than stepping into a mature department where every niche is already claimed, incoming physicians can contribute to the continued development of Emergency Medicine's academic and operational footprint. Physicians with interests in areas such as disaster medicine, ultrasound, simulation, informatics, medical education, or operations can bring those interests into an evolving department. The environment is particularly well suited to Emergency Physicians who enjoy challenging pathology, direct patient care, and close interaction with learners. With a major future hospital project underway, physicians joining now can also be part of the department's transition toward its next generation of emergency care.
