Emergency Medicine Physician â€" Mississippi Locum Tenens Opportunity Ongoing Coverage
Opportunity Highlights Emergency Medicine coverage in Mississippi
Strong opportunity for physicians with recent ED or acute care experience
Must be comfortable serving as a supervising or backup physician for NPs/PAs
Moderate sedation experience required
Candidates must have all required credentials active and in hand at presentation
Qualifications Completed a 3-year residency in:
Emergency Medicine
Family Medicine
Internal Medicine with moonlighting approval
Board Certified or Board Eligible in EM, FM, or IM
2,000+ contact hours within the past 2 years in an ED or acute care setting
Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license
Active Mississippi DEA with a Mississippi address and Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5
Active CSR , if required
Documentation of case logs from the past 2 years
Proof of 40 CME hours completed within the past 2 years
Certifications ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if you are not board certified in Emergency Medicine or did not complete EM training.
Additional Requirements Moderate sedation experience
Flu vaccination required
COVID vaccination preferred, but not required
$100K/$300K claims-made malpractice coverage
Must be available to provide supervision or backup coverage for NPs/PAs
Important Credentialing Requirement To be considered for presentation, physicians must have their active state medical license, board certification/eligibility, applicable DEA, and CSR (if required) in hand . Pending credentials cannot be accepted for presentation.
