Job description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage. This facility manages approximately 17,000 annual ED visits within a 15-bed Emergency Department and 103 hospital beds. The environment is characterized by a low-volume, high-efficiency workflow supported by a collaborative team and modern EMR systems with streamlined charting workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour physician coverage in the Emergency Department.
Collaborate with APC support staff (available 10 hours per day).
Perform facility-specific procedures, including Moderate Sedation.
Maintain efficient throughput and follow streamlined charting protocols.
Required Qualifications
Board certified in ABEM/AOBEM or an ABMS-recognized specialty with at least 5 years of continuous full-time experience in high-volume (>30,000 visits/year) emergency departments.
New EM residency graduates (within the past 12 months) may be considered.
Active unrestricted Indiana Medical License and Indiana State Controlled Substance registration.
DEA with an Indiana address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4.
BLS or CPR Quiz certification.
Documentation of case logs for the past 2 years.
Proof of immunizations: Flu (current season), TB (past 12 months) or Chest X-Ray, and COVID.
