Job Requirements
Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABEM, ABIM, or ABFM)
Licenses: Active unrestricted LA Medical License, DEA License with LA address, LA Controlled Substance & Supervising Physician License (PA supervision)
DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address and LA Controlled Substance license
Certifications: ACLS, PALS required; ATLS if not ABEM certified
Experience: New Grad Accepted
Other Qualifications: Proof of CMEs for past 2 years, case logs for past 2 years, immunizations (flu, TB, COVID), sedation modules, $100K/$300K malpractice coverage plus LPCF enrollment
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour emergency department physician coverage
Supervise and oversee NP/PA providers as required
Manage acute care patients, including stabilization and treatment
Perform procedures including sedation as per facility requirements
Maintain compliance with credentialing, licensing, and malpractice requirements
