Emergency Medicine Physician Locums Job in Illinois 24-Hour Shifts Specific Dates Needed in November and December Assignment

Shift Details
24-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.)
Requirements
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience
Active Illinois medical license or eligible through the IMLC pathway
Illinois Controlled Substance Permit (CSP)
DEA license
BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS
Required Procedures / Skills
Endotracheal intubation, including difficult airways
Chest tube insertion
Central venous line placement
Cardioversion/defibrillation
Code and resuscitation leadership
Lumbar puncture
Procedural sedation
Fracture/dislocation reduction
Arterial line placement
Paracentesis
Thoracentesis
Laceration repair
Splinting/casting
Incision and drainage
Foley catheter placement
Peripheral IV placement
EKG interpretation
Assignment Details
Critical Access Hospital
Non-Trauma facility
Approximately 8,000 emergency department visits annually
1 MD onsite at all times
Supported by experienced RNs and ER support staff
6-bed Emergency Department
Emergency and temporary privileges available for qualified Illinois-licensed providers
Hospital serves an agriculture-based community located near a major freeway, resulting in a broad mix of emergency cases including trauma typical to rural and highway-adjacent regions
