TeamHealth is seeking a dedicated emergency medicine (EM) physician to join our team at Mission Hospital McDowell, a modern 30‑bed facility in the scenic town of Marion, North Carolina. Just a short drive from Asheville, this opportunity offers the ideal mix of professional fulfillment and mountain lifestyle.
Position Overview
Annual Volume: 23,000 ED visits
Coverage: 24 hours/day, 8‑hour physician shifts
Support: Daily APC coverage
Facility: 30-bed hospital with modern emergency department
Technology: Cerner EMR
Leadership: New, engaged EM physician leadership team
Optional Rotation: Opportunity to rotate through other Mission Health hospitals in Western North Carolina
Who We're Looking For
Board‑certified/eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
Strong clinical and decision‑making skills
Great communicator who thrives in a collegial team environment
Comfortable in a community hospital setting
