Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $8,470 - $9,080
Emergency Medicine Physician Job Details Location: New Ulm, MN Southern Minnesota
Practice Setting: Hospital/Medical Center Single Coverage Emergency Room
Contract Length: Ongoing locum tenens contract, starting March 9, 2026 (MN license required)
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am), mix of days and nights
Shifts per Month: 6-8 shifts per month
Hospital Bed Size: 11
Patient Census: 15-25 patients per shift, all ages
EMR: EPIC
Qualifications Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (preferred), or Family Practice with significant emergency department experience
Active Minnesota medical license
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in emergency medicine, preferably at community hospital sites
DEA registration
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS or CALS
Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
Strong preference for candidates with experience in Minnesota or neighboring states
Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a single coverage ER
Efficiently manage a busy patient load with seasonal fluctuations
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RT, Psych, Teleintensivist, Ortho, Gen Surg, OB/GYN, CRNA, and mid-level providers
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management
Participate in hospital orientation and credentialing processes
