Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Georgia. Join a high-volume Emergency Department with strong specialty support, daily APP coverage, and advanced documentation tools.

Schedule Flexible Emergency Department scheduling

Practice Setting Hospital-based Emergency Department
Epic EMR with Dragon and DAX
Collaborative practice with strong specialty support
NP/PA supervision required
Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate and manage a broad range of emergency conditions
Supervise Advanced Practice Providers
Collaborate with consulting specialists
Utilize Epic with Dragon and DAX for documentation
Department Details Approximately 40,000 annual ED visits
310-bed hospital
30 Emergency Department beds
38 physician coverage hours daily
24 hours of NP/PA coverage daily
Requirements MD or DO
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
Board eligibility must be obtained within 5 years of residency
Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
DEA with Georgia address
ACLS required
PALS required
ATLS required (waived for ABEM-certified physicians)
Clinical activity/case logs for the past 2 years
CME/CEU documentation (20 hours per year for the past 2 years)
Credentialing Pre-application required
Temporary privileges considered following CVO file release and credentialing committee approval
TB screening required
Flu vaccine required during flu season
Ideal Candidate A residency-trained Emergency Medicine physician seeking an ongoing assignment in a busy Emergency Department with strong specialty backup, APP collaboration, and no call responsibilities.
