Position Highlights
Specialty: Emergency Medicine Physician
We welcome both experienced physicians and new graduates who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency care.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (Board Eligibility required within 5 years of residency completion)
Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based patient care
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Schedule
Full-time schedule consists of twelve 12-hour shifts per month (144 hours monthly)
Potsdam ER:
Shift Times: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
8a - 6p (double physician coverage)
36 hours of physician coverage and 22 hours of APP coverage daily
APP Coverage Includes:10a-10p

Physicians average approximately 1.32 patients per hour
Accepts transfers from Massena and Gouverneur Hospitals
Trauma III Trauma Center
Primary Stroke Center
Annual Volume: 27,000 visits
Admission Rate: 15%
Massena ER:
7a-7p or 7p-7a
24 hours of physician coverage and 12 hours of APP coverageAPP shift:9a-9p
Physicians average 1.34 patients per hourSignificantly less busy nights
Critical access hospital
Annual Volume: 15,000 visits
Admission Rate: 9%
Gouverneur ER:
7a-7p or 7p-7a
Physicians average 1.18 patients per hourGenerally lower acuity with significantly less busy nights
Critical access hospital
Annual Volume: 11,000 visits
Admission Rate: 3%

* Pay Summary
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices.
