The emergency department treats approximately 16,000 patients annually. Physicians work alongside experienced emergency nurses and advanced practice providers, with APPs helping manage lower-acuity visits. Full-time, part-time, and per-diem scheduling options
Physician-influenced scheduling built around 12-hour shifts
A common full-time pattern of three shifts one week and four the next
24-hour emergency department with more than 10 exam rooms and a dedicated trauma room
More than 10,000 emergency visits annually
Advanced practice provider support for lower-acuity cases
Broad emergency medicine exposure within a close-knit rural hospital setting
Established protocols for stabilizing and transferring complex trauma, cardiac, neurosurgical, and behavioral-health cases
