Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity â€" Louisiana IMLC Approved New Grads Accepted Epic EMR
Join a full-service critical access hospital in Louisiana serving the surrounding community with a broad range of medical and surgical services. This is an excellent opportunity for an Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine physician seeking a supportive clinical environment with dedicated APP coverage.
Opportunity Highlights 19,000 annual ED visits
24-hour physician coverage
10-hour daily NP/PA coverage
6 ED beds + 2 fast-track beds
4 ICU beds
35 total hospital beds
Epic EMR
New graduates accepted
IMLC approved as of 07/08/2026
Physician Requirements MD/DO with residency completion in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
BC/BE in EM, FM, or IM
Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license
Active DEA with Louisiana address
Louisiana controlled substance registration, if required
Must meet requirements to supervise NP/PA providers
Required Certifications ACLS
PALS
ATLS
BLS
ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required if not EM board certified or EM trained
Clinical Environment The facility provides comprehensive community-based care, including emergency, acute medical and surgical care, stroke services, cardiology, urology, OB/GYN, behavioral health, infusion services, and wound care.
Credentialing Requirements Current-season flu vaccination
TB Gold within the past 12 months or qualifying chest X-ray
COVID vaccination
Case logs for the previous 2 years
CME documentation for the previous 2 years
10 hours of trauma/stroke CME annually
Completion of required sedation modules during onboarding and reappointment
Malpractice: $100K/$300K coverage plus LPCF enrollment; locums enrollment must be maintained for a minimum of 90 days
