Locum Tenens Job Details Specialty: Emergency Medicine Position Type: Locum tenens physician job Setting: Emergency Department at a regional hospital Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin 54501 Start Date: 9/28/2026 Duration: Ongoing coverage needs Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,160 - $7,290 Case Mix: Approximately 17-23 patient encounters per shift Coverage: Mostly single coverage with some shift overlap Environment: Level 4 trauma setting with newborn deliveries received in the ED Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60-90 days Emergency Medicine Physician Requirements Board-certified Emergency Medicine physician required At least 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required Active and clean NPDB/file required ACLS certification required ATLS certification required BLS certification required PALS certification required Ability to work in a busy community emergency department Comfortable practicing with broad emergency medicine responsibilities Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency care for a broad range of patient acuity levels Evaluate and stabilize patients in a fast-paced emergency department environment Manage adult and pediatric emergency cases as needed Collaborate with on-site support services and specialty teams when appropriate Provide coverage in a setting that includes newborn deliveries in the ED Deliver efficient, patient-centered care while maintaining strong clinical judgment Support ongoing emergency coverage needs in a flexible locum tenens role Why Work in Rhinelander, Wisconsin?
