Cardiac Critical Care Opening Rochester, NYFull TimePermanent PositionSeeking BC/BE Cardiac Intensivist to join dedicated Cardiac Critical Care program in Rochester, New YorkPosition Highlights:Dedicated Medical Cardiac ICU practicePredictable 7-on / 7-off scheduleCollaborative multidisciplinary shock team modelDirect involvement in advanced heart failure and cardiogenic shock managementExposure to advanced mechanical circulatory support (MCS) therapiesTertiary care cardiovascular environment with expanding cardiac critical care servicesOpportunity to teach and mentor Cardiology fellows, residents, and multidisciplinary teamsDedicated inpatient critical care responsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities:Manage critically ill patients with: - Cardiogenic shock - Acute decompensated heart failure - Acute coronary syndromes - Severe arrhythmias - Hemodynamic instability and multisystem critical illnessCollaborate with Advanced Heart Failure specialistsParticipate as a core member of the multidisciplinary shock response teamManage advanced temporary and durable MCS devices including: - Impella - LVAD supportSupervise and teach fellows, residents, and clinical staffPerform and supervise critical care procedures including: - Central venous catheter placement - Arterial line placement - Pulmonary artery catheterization - Intubation - BronchoscopyQualifications:MD or DOBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Emergency MedicineFellowship training in Critical Care Medicine or combined Cardiology/Critical Care trainingActive New York license or ability to obtainPrior Cardiac ICU or Cardiothoracic ICU experience preferredCompensation & Benefits:$500,000.00 - $600,000.00Competitive compensation packageMedical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan optionsPaid time offContinuing medical education (CME) supportMalpractice coverage Estimated pay range/amount is $372,500 - $592,906.
