This well-respected medical center is a renowned academic and clinical institution located in the heart of Seattle, known for delivering exceptional patient-centered care across a wide range of specialties. The Emergency Department operates in a structured, collaborative environment supported by a dedicated team of RNs and utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system, ensuring streamlined and efficient patient care.

Board Certified - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Provide high-quality emergency medical care, including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients in a medium to high acuity setting
Manage 8-14 patients per day, primarily medical cases with low trauma volume
Work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions
Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Must be available to work varied shifts including mid (11a-8p), AM (7a-4p weekdays, 7a-3p weekends), and PM (2p-11p weekdays, 3p-11p weekends) shifts, with potential for overnight shifts (6p-3a or 10p-7a) in 2027
Ideal availability of approximately 2 weeks of coverage per month (15 shifts) on an ongoing basis through 2027
Willingness to cover some holidays is required
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABEM/AOBEM) required
Active Washington State medical license required; IMLC not accepted
Emergency Medicine Fellowship required for physicians
Clean background and malpractice history required
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA certifications required
EMR: EPIC
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
