Schedule Physician Shifts
6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
NP/PA Coverage
8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Monday-Thursday: 24 hours of NP/PA coverage
Friday-Sunday: 12 hours of NP/PA coverage
Qualifications MD/DO
Emergency Medicine residency completion required
ABEM BC/BE
New EM graduates welcome
Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license or qualifying IMLC
Active DEA with Louisiana address
Louisiana Controlled Substance license
Must meet requirements for supervising NP/PA providers
Certifications ABEM-certified physicians actively participating in ABEM MOC: No additional merit badges required.
Board Eligible physicians: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required; AHA preferred. BLS required.
Credentialing Requirements Case logs covering the past 2 years
CME documentation for the past 2 years
Current-season flu vaccination
TB documentation from the past 12 months or applicable chest X-ray
Health attestation completed by PCP or peer during credentialing
$100K/$300K malpractice coverage
Louisiana Patient's Compensation Fund (LPCF) enrollment required; locums physicians must maintain enrollment for a minimum of 90 days at a time
Cross-credentialing is required at four affiliated locations.
