PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privieges Required: Yes (cross credentialing at multiple facilities)
JOB REQIREMENTS
Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
Licenses: Active LA Medical License, CDS, DEA with LA address
DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS required
Certifications: ACLS, ALS, PALS (if not BC in EM)
Experience: Residency trained in specialty required
Other Qualifications: CME past 2 years, case logs past 2 years, health attestation, interview with medical director
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages.
Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers and scribes.
Perform emergency procedures including intubation, central line placement, and laceration repair.
Document patient care in a timely manner.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement and departmental meetings.
