Job description
We are seeking a Locums EmergencyMedicine Physician to provide ongoing coverage in Stuart, Florida. This is anexcellent opportunity to join a well-supported emergency department with a lowadmission rate, manageable patient volume, and flexible day and night shiftavailability.
Assignment Details Assignment Length: Ongoing through June 30, 2027
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Shift Availability: Day and Night (AM/PM) coverage
Practice Setting: Hospital Emergency Department
Coverage Model: Single physician coverage
Emergency DepartmentOverview ED Beds: 10-11
Patient Volume: Approximately 0.5-2 patients per hour
Patient Population: Adults and Pediatrics
Patient Acuity: Primarily ESI Level 3 and 4, with occasional Level 2 patients
Admission Rate: Approximately 2-3%
Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries.
Provide emergency stabilization and management for pediatric and adult patients.
Perform emergency procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice.
Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic tests.
Collaborate with nursing staff, radiology, consultants, and ancillary services to provide efficient, high-quality patient care.
Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain.
Current DEA registration.
