nWe are building our EM Team at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC, with a start date of September 1, 2026. We have full-time, part-time, and PRN MD/DO and APP positions available.

nLocal Team Collaboration:

nnnLead our close-knit team of 10 physicians and 6 APPs at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center.

n

nnWork alongside our dedicated providers, committed to providing patient-centered care in collaboration with all stakeholders in a positive manner.

n

nnCedar Hill Regional Medical Center is a 136-bed hospital in Southeast Washington, D.C. The Emergency Department has 32 beds dedicated to the Adult ER, with Children’s National Hospital staffing the pediatric emergency department.

n

nnAccountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.

n

nnStable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.

n

n nQualifications:

nnnBoard certified/eligible Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.

n

nnBoard-certified/eligible in ABEM or ABOEM.

n

nnAuthorized to work in the United States.

n

n nScheduling:

nnn40 hours of Physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily.

n

nnThe monthly workload for full-time positions is 120 hours, while part-time entails 80 hours per month.

n

n nKey Responsibilities:

nnnThe EM team responds to floor codes.

n

nnThe Sound hospitalist team is part of the Rapid Response and Code team.

n

nnCerner is our EMR.

n

n nLiving and working in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC

nnnThis position is based in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, one of the nation’s most dynamic and diverse regions. The DC area offers a unique blend of government, healthcare, academic, and private-sector innovation, with easy access to leading institutions and decision-makers.

nnCedar Hill Regional Medical Center opened in April 2025 and replaced United Medical Center. It is located on the campus of St. Elizabeth's Hospital near the Congress Heights neighborhood of Ward 8. The $434 million hospital started construction in 2022, funded by the District of Columbia government.
