Clinical Shift Schedule: Variable shifts including days and nights

Patient Demographics: All ages
Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 24,000 annual visits
Admissions: Included
Phone Consults: Included
Case Mix: General emergency medicine cases
FACILITY INFORMATION
No. of Beds in Department: 12 ED beds (5 fast track)
EMR System: Cerner
Office Equipment Available: Standard ED equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Limited subspecialty support
Support Staff Available: 24-hour physician coverage with 20–24 hours NP/PA coverage
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
General emergency medicine procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active NC license required
Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
DEA: Active NC DEA required
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS required (if not ABEM)
Experience: Recent graduates accepted
Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable with full-scope ED privileges
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide emergency department care for all patient presentations
Manage patient care independently during shifts
Collaborate with NP/PA support staff
Coordinate care with available specialty services
Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
