Job description
HJ Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to provide emergency medical services at a respected U.S. military treatment facility in Kentucky. This is an opportunity to care for active-duty service members, military families, retirees, and other eligible beneficiaries in a fast-paced emergency department.
nThis position offers a predictable contract schedule while providing meaningful work supporting those who serve our country.
nResponsibilities
nnEvaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency and urgent care patients.
nPerform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
nOrder and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies.
nStabilize and manage medical emergencies and traumatic injuries.
nRespond to Code Blue and other emergency situations.
nPerform emergency procedures within scope of practice.
nDocument patient encounters in accordance with military and facility standards.
nCollaborate with nursing staff and specialty consultants.
nReview abnormal laboratory and imaging results and ensure appropriate follow-up.
nMaintain accurate electronic medical records.
n nQualifications
nnMD or DO from an accredited medical school.
nBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
nInternal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with significant recent Emergency Medicine experience may also qualify.
nActive, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
nCurrent DEA registration.
nCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
nMinimum one year of recent Emergency Medicine experience.
nU.S. Citizenship required.
n nSchedule
nn8–12 hour shifts
nMix of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
nMinimum night shift requirements
