Job DescriptionSite Medical Director – Emergency Medicine\ NNewburgh, New York | Full-Time
Opportunity\ NSeeking an experienced Emergency Medicine physician to serve as Site Medical Director for a high-acuity Emergency Department in the Hudson Valley.
\ NThis is an opportunity for an EM physician who wants meaningful departmental leadership while continuing clinical practice , with a focus on quality, metrics, physician engagement, process improvement, and ED development.
Emergency Department\ NThe department includes 13 full-time physicians, 9 full-time APPs, and EPIC EMR .
Leadership Responsibilities\ N Provide clinical and operational leadership for the ED
\ N Drive quality, metrics,and process improvement
\ N Collaborate with nursing and physician leadership
\ N Work with hospital administration and external physician-management partners
\ N Support physician development and quality initiatives
\ N Participate in strategic and operational decision-making
\ N Help shape the department as it moves toward a new-build Emergency Department
\ N Clinical Schedule Approximately 48–72 clinical hours per month , allowing substantial time for leadership, strategy, and departmental initiatives.
Compensation\ N$375,000–$475,000compensation opportunity
\ N $290,000/year SMD stipend
\ N $225/hour day clinical rate
\ N $240/hour nightclinical rate
\ N Holiday pay
$3,000 BERA
\ N 401(k) and deferral plan
\ N Tier Plan eligibility
\ N $60,000 start-date bonus for a 2-year commitment, subject to approval
