Job description
VDOT seeks workers to support emergency operations and snow removal during severe weather. This position is a standby for call-in work to supplement storm preparation and road clearing efforts.
Responsibilities include operating equipment, applying abrasives, and performing heavy manual labor such as plowing, debris removal, and tire chains. Day and night shifts, including 12-hour shifts outdoors, may be required.
