Emergency Room Nursing AssistantWe are seeking an Emergency Room Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified), also referred to as a Emergency Department NA or (ED NA) or an Emergency Services NA (ES NA / ER NA) or an Emergency Room NA (ER NA) at Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, AL. An Emergency Room NA (ER NA) assists nurses and doctors in the emergency room / emergency department by providing patient care, monitoring vital signs, helping with procedures, and ensuring medical supplies are stocked. They also transport patients, document observations, maintain infection control, and offer emotional support in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Responsibilities** If you are a non-licensed Nursing Assistant (NA) and have no prior experience, we encourage you to apply. Entry-Level NAs are welcome to apply!Help patients with basic needs (bathing, dressing, toileting), reposition and transfer patients as neededMonitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration), assist with wound care and dressing changes under supervisionPrepare rooms and ensure medical supplies are stocked, transport patients within the hospital (to imaging or other departments)Assist with procedures (e.g., setting up equipment, applying splints), perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and basic life support if certifiedRecord patient information and observations, report changes in patient condition to nurses or doctors and provide emotional support to patients and familiesClean and sanitize patient areas and equipment, follow hospital protocols to prevent infection spreadQualifications1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.2. Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.4.
